NCFC 2010 is almost here...
This year´s NCFC is about to begin, and AM2R has a booth ready to show some exclusive material.
There are other great fangames being displayed too, so I can´t recomend it enough.
I might be on the chat on certain occasions, and don´t forget to listen to the radio show, DJ Yoshiman is awesome.
Oh, and there will be a little surprise tomorrow.
Have fun!

Hah, anything would be awesome, I'll try to catch it ^.^
Oh, and may I recommend renaming the "1item" speed run to "1%"? That's the terminology normally used for Metroid games.
You are a little Hero ;)

Nice demo, doc. =D
One little thing I might mention; There's a room where you need to use a bomb to go further down. If you shoot the bomb block, open the map, and close it again, the block disappears. It doesn't go away, it's just no longer visible.
Also, nice save animation. =P Keep up the good work!
The Demo is really nice, but there is one thing I don't like.
Items are not shown on the map...
Keep up the great work and I hope to see the full game soon.
I also think you should actually make a metroid game of your own, the demos are awesome XD
I like the sound of that!!!
You are truly amazing for continuing your work and doing it so well. I'm so excited for the full release and applaud you for your dedication.
On another note, nice Omega. I didn't like your Zetas (and unless you've made significant changes to it I still don't), but your Omega really seems to fit in well with the environment you're creating.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Unlike the rest of these whiners, I wont be asking about your progress or release schedule, because if I were in your place I would find that EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Nor will I tell you to take your time, because you'll do that anyway. Just make sure to have fun with it, 'cause if you're not having fun with it, neither will I when I play it.
Your work is ALWAYS TRULY APPRECIATED ....
A FRIEND, A FAN OF A CLASSIC GAME BEING MADE BETTER.........
However I notices a few things seem rush or weird: When you put enter at Samus's ship or at a save station the map screen shows up before it saves.
so i kinda thought i was still at the beginning of the game since you're supposed to get the charge beam early, and then it ended and i was like "oh.."
but overall it was great. tons of backtracking and maze like structure made it better than even Other M in that sense :P
i still think the footsteps are too loud, the high jump is too high, and now i think you made the speed booster even faster to turn on, which feels weird.
The reason why is I played the demo and it was really uncomfortable to fire missiles, especially when I would have to fire them while jumping, moving, and aiming on a diagonal. At one part while trying to hold all those buttons down while fighting Kraid my hand slipped and I ended up firing my last two super missiles into the air, when they would've won the battle if they had hit. It would be much easier to aim with the missiles if here was an option to toggle them instead of holding. I think this is an important feature you should include in the final game, since missiles are so important for fighting the Metroids while they are flying around and dodging. It'd make playing this game with a keyboard much smoother and easier.
I know that im nothing to mate such a critic but is just a detail that I figured out. Again sorry for my bad english. Im waiting for ur game, good luck
I had to throw that out there. I'm an awesome shot and I can totally hit smaller damage zones, but it does get a little annoying when I fire two missiles and one does damage and the other one gets bounced off because there's a few pixels difference between it and the first one. This will be especially problematic if you intend for players to have to use the same number of missiles to take down the Metroids as they had to in the original. If every other shot bounces off than players are going to end up running out of ammo and having to keep retreating.
its the Anon who mentioned an error... I'll post it, but I also screencapped it so can i post the picture here or should I just go to the forums? And one last question.. Can i post in the forums as an anonymous user or do I have to make an account?
And I seriously 2nd the one button for switching ammo option. It would make the game a lot easier for some of us.
The charge shot is in the demo, you just haven't found it yet...
You remember the part in Zero Mission, in the Chozo Ruins where there were those bird head shaped security statues that are on the wall?... Ok, well there's a room with those thing in it in the demo, I'm sure you've been there... in the bottom right of the room there is a ledge you can grab on to... morphball in that little empty block and lay a bomb... Tah Dah! Charge Beam!
greetings from chile :)
gracias y chau
You really had me stumped there. The missile tank in the vertical shaft leading to Ridley (You know the one I'm talking about!) was the only item I couldn't find myself. Well done!
I'd love to see more cleverly hidden items in the game when it's finally released. Keep up the good work Doc!
a comment i'd like to make is, the feature where you climb tiles 1 - 2 squares high by pushing forward + jump button is brilliant! it made the game amazing. but i'd like you to take out the need to push the jump button. Metroid Other M has that feature and you only need to push forward, and i like that better than having to push the jump button. at least for the tiles only 1 square high.
